After learning about United Nations Sustainable Development Goals I started making sure that I wasn’t doing anything that could harm the environment or anyone. For example, I started recycling more often, when I was at a party I had asked if the host’s had a recycling bin instead of just throwing my water bottle away. This relates to goal 15: Life on Land because recycling is a huge way to help save the earth’s ecosystem. Another example is now when I go to a restaurant, I always bring home my food if I haven't finished it yet because I know how many people around the world don’t have food and I shouldn’t just waste it, which is the main purpose of goal 2: Zero hunger.
In the future I see myself being apart of organizations that help children in need. I will be donating food to food drives or I will buy a someone new clothes. Every year around Christmas time, I always donate food and clothes to children in need, but I see myself doing that more than just around the holidays because I now know that this is what goal number 1: No poverty is all about.
By doing little by little, I could start to help the world. Even just by telling people about how we could help, a beach could be saved. But I could also do something about all the pollution and the climate change and all the other problems caused by humans, so I think I will be a good influence on the world.
